INTRODUCTION:

1996 saw little change to the train service. The only real alteration was that the 'Sussex Scot' now ran to and from Edinburgh once again instead of Glasgow. On summer Saturdays the Manchester service continued to run to and from Eastbourne. The dated train between Birmingham and Ramsgate continued to run. I have no details of haulage for this service. If you can help please let me know, email address on the home page.

TIMETABLE and ROUTE:

Sundays the train ran via Guildford, on Saturdays the southbound 'Sussex Scot' did not serve East Croydon although it appears to be routed that way. No trains other than the Ramsgate service called at Kensington Olympia on Saturdays.
